Personal Training

It’s highly probable that like many living in today's fast paced world you find yourself pinched between work and home responsibilities while daydreaming about what you'd rather be enjoying in your "free" hours. It's important to do those things you love, i.e. working out, hiking, biking, running, or walking to name a few. If you’re trapped using Scarlett’s famous excuse (“Gone with the Wind”) – “After all, tomorrow’s another day” – we invite you to turn your life around by scheduling a session with a member of our highly trained and certified fitness staff to create a program that reflects your unique lifestyle needs.

A personal trainer has, among other traits, the following attributes:

  • S/he has a degree and certification in physical education and/or exercise science
  • S/he obtains a detailed review of your personal health and fitness history, evaluates your personal goals, and determines what works best in a program designed to reach your goals
  • S/he helps you make modifications when necessary and schedule follow ups throughout your program
  • S/he ensures that your personalized fitness program includes recommended frequency, intensity, duration and type of fitness activities for optimal weight management, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility
  • S/he makes certain you make optimal use of your allotted fitness time. After all, you live a busy life!
  • S/he ensures that you have the most optimal program design, compliance, and accountability
  • S/he provides you the latest in cutting edge information and developments in the area of health and fitness
  • Though you are ultimately responsible for your success, s/he helps you develop positive habits.
  • S/he provides you with open, clear and honest communication that maintains confidentiality at all times

Whether you prefer a one-to-one personal training program or a group or semi-private plan, like our GRAVITY program, each is carefully tailored to match your health and fitness profile.  Additionally, if you have a specific physical challenge, we have post-rehab certified trainers that also work closely with you and your physician to help you follow a training program that is designed to be safe, enjoyable and targeted to achieve the results you desire. It  is also tailored to include the important elements of cardio endurance, resistance training, flexibility, and nutrition (see Nutrition).

Most importantly, you do not have to be a competitive, die-hard athlete or fitness enthusiast to benefit from and enjoy working with a personal trainer.
